Health is a balance of body, mind and spirit.

Hippocrates said, "Let food be thy medicine," and I agree that diet can be either healing or harmful to our health. Yet our diet is not the only factor in wellness. Even a healthy, well balanced diet can't compete with high levels of stress, poor sleep, and/or environmental toxins. Let's work on our body, mind and spirit to achieve permanent remission.

Do you have a Leaky Gut?

As I do more research into cancer prevention and the Anti-Cancer Lifestyle, what seems to be at the core of it all is the immune system. Every day we’re all exposed to potentially cancer causing toxins with the potential to tweak our cells abnormally. Why do these abnormal cells develop into cancer in some people and not […]

Home Made Sauerkraut

I’ve been looking for ways to introduce more fermented foods into my diet as they have huge health benefits. All of the ancient cultures have some form of fermented food. Some of the main benefits they all have in common is that they offer naturally occurring probiotics, enzymes and vitamin K2 which aids in the absorption of vitamin […]

Is Sunscreen Safe to Use?

It’s getting to be sunscreen weather, at least in the PNW. You may be there already–I know we start this party later than the rest of the country. With the sunny days comes the questions around whether or not to use sunscreen. Aren’t there a lot of chemicals in it that are best avoided? What should we […]

A Healthier Soda

With the weather getting warmer and picnics for Memorial Day planned, you may be wanting to pack some refreshing beverages. I still see so many people drinking Coke, Pepsi and other commercial sodas. I wish I could grab these death brews from peoples’ hands and pour them out, saving them from this toxic mess but […]

Worst 18 Months of My Life

I have been through the wringer. Seriously, I don’t want to tempt fate to give me more, harder trials to bear, but I gotta’ say that the last 18 months have been the hardest of my life. I thought I was through the worst at this time last year. But no, there was more […]

There are also stressors at work, year-end deadlines to meet, taxes to file, and products to launch. […]

How to Not Get Sick. Ever.

What if I told you that it was possible to never get sick. Like ever again. Not the common cold, not the latest flu, not even sick from things that our friends and family seem to have gotten for no reason, like cancer. Would you believe me? Well there is growing and compelling evidence that it all […]

Healing with Beauty Sleep

I’m embarrassed to tell people this. I sleep a lot. No, I’m not talking about making sure I get 7-8 hours, I’ve been sleeping more like 10+ hours a night. And yes, I know that my body is still healing. But every single morning I’m surprised by it. Every morning I say to myself, “Really?!” […]
